Creating a Class or Event

Details and schedule, on one page

Step by step: creating a class or event, then adding when it actually happens, without leaving the page.
Calendar & Bookings 2 min read Updated September 2026

Step 1: Enter the class details

  1. Click + Add Class or Event.
  2. Fill in Name (such as Beginner Yoga), Type (Class, Workshop, Event, Retreat, Meeting -- your own label), Default Duration in minutes, and Default Capacity.
  3. Default Location is optional and public -- use a visitor-friendly name (Home Studio, not your street address if you teach from home).
  4. Write a Description using the rich text editor.
  5. Choose Registration: No Registration (visitors just see it), Free Registration (visitors reserve a spot at no charge), or Paid Registration (set a Price).
  6. Choose an Age Restriction if one applies -- this shows to visitors and on the booking form.
  7. Set Publishing Status: Published, Private (unlisted, link only), or Draft.
  8. Click Save Class Details.

Step 2: Add when it happens

After saving, the same page reloads with a new When It Happens section underneath the details you just entered -- you do not go anywhere else.

  1. Click Add a Time.
  2. Choose Schedule Type: One Time (a single date) or Repeats Weekly (choose one or more weekdays, with an optional end date).
  3. Set Start Date, Start Time, and Duration (pre-filled from the class default -- change it only if this particular time runs longer or shorter).
  4. Choose one or more Instructors, and a Location if different from the class default.
  5. Set a Capacity Override if this specific time should hold a different number of people than the class default.
  6. Click Add This Time.

To add a second weekly time (say, a different Thursday slot), click Add a Time again -- the class keeps all of its times listed together, each editable and deletable on its own.

Editing later

From the Calendar hub, click Edit on any class to return to this same combined page -- its details at the top, its times below, both editable in one visit.
