Turning it on

Turn on Marketing & Tracking under Configuration -> Features, then go to Configuration -> Marketing & Tracking.

Search engine verification

Under Verification, paste the token Google, Bing, or Pinterest gives you to prove you own the site -- Your Shop Space handles adding it correctly, whether that tool wants a meta tag or a specific file at your site is root.

Connecting analytics

Enter IDs for Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, or Matomo, and the correct tracking snippet is generated and inserted for you -- no manual code editing required.

The built-in Traffic panel

  1. Click the Traffic tab on the same page.
  2. Use the 7 days, 30 days, or 90 days buttons for a quick date range, or set an exact From/To range and click Update.
  3. See total page views and visits, a daily bar chart, and your top pages, referrers, and countries.

This runs automatically once turned on, with no cookies and nothing shared with anyone outside your own site -- a private, always-included baseline, whether or not you also connect an outside analytics tool.

Custom code

An advanced option to paste your own tracking or verification code directly is available, but is turned off by default and must be enabled by the platform for your site first, as a safety measure -- most needs are covered by the built-in fields above without ever needing this.
