Cliff has been building things on the web since before "web development" was even a job title people put on business cards — three-plus decades and counting. These days he runs Kinetic Path Media, the outfit behind YSS, and somehow still gets genuinely excited about a well-written database query. (Yes, really. Ask him about it sometime — but maybe not right before dinner.)
Web development was actually just one of about a million job duties Cliff juggled during his 30+ years in blood bank and blood donor center quality and general management — because apparently "run the quality program" wasn't quite enough to fill the day. He picked up a stack of credentials along the way too — MT(ASCP)SBB, CQA(ASQ), CPT — that prove he can be trusted with both your data and your blood type.
He also moonlights as the guy behind two thriving online communities: PathLabTalk, a forum for clinical pathology folks who like to nerd out, and Square Wheels Cycling, for cyclists who take their hobby just seriously enough.
When he's not at a keyboard, Cliff is probably out running or riding, working off the day's screen time, occasionally strapped to a guitar he's still very much learning to play. He lives in Tennessee with his wife and two dogs, who are unimpressed by all of the above and mostly just want a walk.
