Blog
News and long-form posts, with a choice of layouts
Turning it on
- Turn on Blog under Configuration -> Features (a paid-plan app).
- Go to Content -> Blog.
Choosing a layout
Pick one of three public layouts for your blog is main listing page: Editorial (a large featured post at the top, then a single clean column), Magazine Grid (a card grid, the most familiar blog look), or Classic List (a lightweight list, fastest to scan a lot of posts). A small preview shows what each looks like before you choose. Individual posts always use the same article template regardless of which listing layout you pick.
Writing a post
- Click + New Post.
- Write a Title, an optional Excerpt (or leave it blank and one is derived from your content automatically), and the body using the rich text editor.
- Choose a Category and add Tags.
- Set a Featured Image from your Media Library -- this shows on the listing page and at the top of the post.
- Set Status to Published, or Draft to keep working on it. To schedule a post for the future, set Published with a Published Date that has not arrived yet -- it goes live automatically at that moment, nothing further to do.
- Fill in optional SEO fields, same as a regular page.
Categories, tags, and the feed
Manage categories from the Blog admin page (add and delete; renaming is not available yet). Tags are typed freely per post. An RSS feed is available automatically at /blog/feed.xml and an Atom feed at /blog/atom.xml, for anyone who wants to follow your posts in a feed reader.
A teaser on another page
Add a Latest Blog Posts section to any page (such as your homepage) from the page builder is Add Section picker, to show your most recent posts as a teaser linking through to the full blog.
No comments, by design
Blog does not have a commenting feature -- this is intentional, avoiding a spam and moderation burden. If you want visitor feedback, consider a Contact form instead, or Testimonials for a moderated, publishable quote.
