Orders, Payments & What Happens When Something Sells
Stripe checkout, stock, shipping addresses, and the instant sale email
Checkout is your own Stripe account
A customer pays through a secure Stripe Checkout page -- the same connected account already used by Memberships and Appointments (set up under Configuration -> Payment Settings). Money goes straight to you; Your Shop Space never holds it.
Shipping addresses
If a customer chooses to have their order shipped, Stripe collects their address on its own checkout page -- nothing for you to build or collect separately. That address comes back automatically and shows up on the order in Store -> Orders, and in the instant sale notification email, as soon as payment completes.
The instant sale email
Set a notification email on Store Settings, and the moment an order is paid, that address gets an email with what sold, the totals, the shipping method, and the address if it is shipping -- before the customer even sees your own "Thank you" page. Set this up so you never sell something in your physical shop that was already sold online, or vice versa.
Stock and low-stock alerts
Once payment succeeds, stock counts for any product with Track Inventory on are decremented automatically. If a sale brings a product down to or below its own Email Me When Stock Drops To threshold, you get a separate alert for that specific product, right away.
Viewing orders
Go to Store -> Orders for a running list, newest first -- customer, items, totals, and status. Payment status updates automatically as Stripe confirms each order.
